About Me
Trish -- A little about me!
My interest in photography started when I was just 16 years old when I took my first photography class in high school. From there, I went to college and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State Fullerton in Photocommunications.
While at Cal State Fullerton, I was photo editor at The Daily Titan, an award winning newspaper in Orange County. During my tenure at the newspaper I photographed many newspaper articles and had many of my photo essays published. I also won many awards for my photojournalist accomplishments such as photographer of the month, best photo essay, and most valuable photographer.
I also worked as a photographer for Dan Castrellon Photography. While working for Dan Castrellon Photography I was able to hone my artistic style. I learned how to creatively and imaginatively capture the moment when shooting events of different styles. During my tenure at Dan Castrellon Photography I participated in many different types of photography including children formal and informal portraits, beauty pageants and weddings.
I was also a freelance photographer for The O.C. Weekly, Bob Knight Photography, and the Hollywood Reporter. While working for Bob Knight Photography I learned how to shoot special events such as college graduations. I loved taking pictures of students capturing a moment of great accomplishment and seeing the pure joy and happiness on their faces. My experience at the Hollywood Reporter gave me the chance to learn how to capture unique images for business purposes.
